But investigations into the nature of a white powder and timer discovered in a plastic bag “hidden quite well behind the s-bend” are ongoing.
Echuca Sergeant Liam Maher said McDonald's staff discovered the package about 9am.
Both the street and restaurant remained closed until about 3pm.
Though the package was “not dangerous,” Sergeant Maher said it was seized for forensic processing.

EARLIER: The police bomb squad is on its way to Echuca after what is believed to be a suspicious package was found at a McDonalds restaurant in High Street.
Victoria Police spokeswoman Kim Bramwell said officers were currently conducting safety checks at the premises.
“The Bomb Response Unit is en route, no road closures are currently in place,” she said.
