After two competitive heats of the 660m series last week the two heat winners that have just 0.01 seconds between them are the ones to beat in the final.
Federal Agent finally broke though for a victory at Bendigo after four previous attempts over the 660m journey when he outclassed his rivals with an impressive seven-length 38.07 heat win.
Federal Agent is shooting for a hat-trick in the final after winning in 38.13 at Ballarat at his run before last week’s heat victory.
The Rod Clark-trained stayer has now scored eight wins from 31 starts, is racing better than ever and has the class edge on his opposition.
Rosie Riccarton scored somewhat of an upset win when posting 38.08 in her heat to score just her third victory at start 36.
However, having been placed twice at The Meadows over 600m at her previous two outings and drawing box one in the final, she will make her presence felt.
The Bendigo Advertiser free for all is race eight on the card and the brilliant Judicial Man heads a quality line-up of talented speedsters.
Boasting a record of 22 wins from 36 starts and having won six from seven at Bendigo, including a near record 23.42 victory, Judicial Man will be sent to the boxes as the punters elect and is expected to have no problems overcoming the box five draw.
