Loddon Campaspe Multicultural Services appointed Ben Shue, Dave Hughes and Esther Ryan, personnel that chairman Abhishek Awasthi said brought decades of collective experience to the organisation.
“Their business and community development expertise, which they’ve gained both locally and internationally, will bring new perspectives and skills to the Multicultural Services,” Mr Awasthi said.
He said the directors would contribute to LCMS at a time when its work was more important than ever, with data from the most recent census showing five per cent rise from 2011 in Bendigonians with parents born overseas.
The trio replace outgoing directors Aunty Lynn Warren, Dung Vu and Shivali Chatley.
Mr Shue is a Bendigo TAFE community services co-ordinator, Mr Hughes is a project director at Be.Bendigo and Ms Ryan is the general manager of Bendigo Cleaning.
The organisation also welcomed a new executive officer, Kate McInnes, earlier in 2017 after the departure of long-serving leader Noemi Cummings.
