The BSE team took out the School Sport Victoria soccer championship in Melbourne on Friday.
BSE proved too strong for seven of the best Year 7 teams in Victoria.
BSE qualified for the final after winning its pool at the Kingston Heath Soccer Complex.
BSE outclassed Mornington Secondary College 8-2, drew with the highly-rated Maribyrnong College 1-1 and scored a gutsy 2-1 win over Northcote High School.
Those results left BSE with seven points, top spot in section B and a date in the final with section A winners Elisabeth Murdoch College, Langwarrin.
Elisabeth Murdoch College won section A from Galen Catholic College, Lavalla Catholic College and Balwyn High School.
The all-regional final was a thrilling encounter.
Scores were level at full-time and after extra time and the game was decided by a penalty shootout.
The BSE girls held their nerve and won a thrilling penalty shootout 4-3.
The result continued BSE’s proud tradition of competing at the highest level of secondary school soccer. The school has now won multiple state titles in girls soccer.
