The announcement of the Rising Star awards were the highlight of the BFNL’s pre-Michelsen Medal Count held on Monday night.
Scanlon and Luke were rewarded for standout seasons in senior football and A-grade netball with the Bulldogs in 2017.
League best and fairest vote winners announced on Monday night:
McDonald Medal in reserves football: Aaron Storie (Gisborne).
George Symons Medal in under-18 football: Darby Graham (Sandhurst).
Holborn Medal in A-reserve netball: Imogen Davies (Eaglehawk).
Sing Medal in 17-and-under netball: Maggie Tranter (Maryborough).
B-grade netball: Megan Bagnal (Eaglehawk).
B-reserve netball: Siobhan Keogh (Eaglehawk).
The BFNL’s major individual awards – the Michelsen Medal and Betty Thompson Medal – will be presented at The Bendigo Club on Sunday night.
