Pioneers’ duo Eden Zanker and Jordyn Jolliffe were both named in the AFL Women’s Under-18 All-Australian team.
The team was announced this week following the Under-18 Women’s National Championships earlier this year.
Zanker was selected at full-forward and Jolliffe in a forward pocket, with the pair also team-mates with Woorinen in the Bendigo Junior Football League under-18 girls competition.
The All-Australian team was picked from a squad of 52, which also included another Bendigo Pioneer player in Aish Tupper.
Meanwhile, despite only playing three games in the competition, Bendigo Pioneer Paddy Dow was named as rover in the TAC Cup Team of the Year.
Midfielder Dow is one of this year’s top AFL Draft prospects and has been likened by former Hawthorn recruiter Gary Buckenara to Patrick Dangerfield.
