The Mean Machine have the opportunity to win their third reserves premiership in a row when they take on Calivil United at Serpentine.
Coached by Andrew Duguid, the Mean Machine survived a tough preliminary final against Mitiamo by five points last week to earn a crack at the reserves premiership hat-trick.
However, the Mean Machine will go into the grand final as the underdogs against a Demons team that has dominated the reserves.
The Demons – coached by Tom Lehmann – are undefeated and with an average winning margin of 55 points.
In their three encounters against Bridgewater this season the Demons have won by margins of 34, 37 and 16 points in the second semi-final a fortnight ago.
Calivil United won its last reserves premiership in 2011 when it defeated Mitiamo.
The reserves grand final starts at 12.15pm.
• Maiden Gully YCW has the chance to defend its under-18 flag from last year.
The Eagles kick off the grand final football action in the under-18 decider against Pyramid Hill from 10.30am.
The rivals have been on a collision course for the grand final all season as the two clear standout teams of the under-18 competition.
They both ended the home and away season with 13-1 records and combined percentages of more than 1000 – the Eagles with 612.5 and the Bulldogs’ 435.8.
The only losses they have had have come against each other.
The Eagles won by 46 points in round eight and by 28 points in the second semi-final a fortnight ago, while the Bulldogs won their round 17 battle by seven points.
One of the X-factors in the game will be Maiden Gully YCW’s gun forward Tyler James.
James has been unstoppable in front of goal this season, having booted 113, which includes four bags of at least 10.
The Bulldogs are striving for their first under-age premiership since 2013.
