Mount Macedon has been covered with a blanket of snow overnight.
It is the second day in a row snow has fallen at the peak.
There was also snow as low as Romsey and Lancefield on Sunday.
The Top of the Range Tea Rooms reports that Cameron Drive, the road leading to the peak of Mount Macedon, is closed.
Residents of central Victoria have been treated to a handful of snow falls in the past week or so.
Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Rod Dickson said Sunday night provided favourable conditions for snow to settle on the ground, with cold overnight temperatures and showers in the area.
But it is likely to be the last of the snow, for the rest of the week at least.
Mr Dickson said daytime temperatures would gradually increase from Wednesday, reaching 18 degrees in parts of the region later in the week.
But the cold mornings would hang on a little longer, he said, with Thursday in particular forecast to have a particularly chilly start.
Bendigo is expected to reach a top of 11 degrees on Monday, but by Friday the city can look forward to a maximum of 18 degrees.
A top of 11 degrees is also forecast for Castlemaine and Maryborough on Monday, while Echuca is in for a daytime temperature of 12 degrees, and Kyneton 9 degrees.
