The Bloods and Roos will play their second fundraising game for Vision Australia when they meet at Harry Trott Oval in the BFNL.
“We’re grateful that these two teams are committed to help us with our work for the blind and low vision community,” Vision Australia regional manager Megan McDonald said this week.
South Bendigo Football-Netball Club committee member Chris Thornton says while the Vision Cup is up for grabs, the players are getting much more out of the game.
“Young people this age think they are invincible, but something like this opens their eyes to the world outside their own circle and the challenges that other people may face,” Thornton said.
The award for the best player on the ground is named in honour of Andy Barrett – a Bloods’ life member and Vision Australia client.
The game starts at 10am.
