Songs I’m Singing With Me was released at the National Folk Festival in Canberra at Easter but will hold a Melbourne launch at the Thornbury Theatre on September 2.
It is their fourth album and a tribute to one of their first musical influences.
Beavis was a singer-songwriter based in central Victoria in the 1970s and 1980s.
He performed regularly at open stages in Bendigo, Maldon Folk Festival and Port Fairy Folk Festival.
“We grew up listening to his music, he was a neighbour of ours and our project is to get his work out to the world,” Alanna said.
“He was the first real songwriter we met as very young children. Our parents knew him and sang his songs.”
The sisters also plan to unveil the album locally at Bendigo and Maldon shows in November.
