Sandhurst has four teams qualified for Central Victoria Hockey grand finals.

The Hurst finished minor premier in A-grade men, B-grade women, B-grade men and under-15s to earn direct passage to the grand finals on the weekend of September 2-3.

Sandhurst’s A-grade women and under-13 teams have the chance to qualify for grand finals via this weekend’s preliminary finals.

The A-grade men’s preliminary final will be a replay of the final round clash between Loddon Murray and Senjuns, which ended in a 3-3 draw.

Sandhurst thumped Strathdale 6-0 in the final round, with Thomas Watts scoring three times, Andrew Niblett twice and Darcy Reid once.

In A-grade women, the undefeated Strathdale is through to the grand final where it will play either Eaglehawk or Sandhurst.

Strathdale defeated Sandhurst 3-2 in a thrilling final round clash. Leila Padgham and Tamara Kemp scored for Sandhurst.

Strathdale and Senjuns will play in the B-grade preliminary final, with the winner to face Sandhurst in the grand final.

The B-grade women’s preliminary final will see Maryborough and Senjuns do battle for the second week in sucession.

Maryborough edged out Senjuns 3-2 last Sunday and is favourite to join Sandhurst in the grand final.

The under-17 grand finalists are already decided, with Strathdale to face Girton.
