Goulburn Murray Water on Friday lifted its alert about the toxic organism, which had bloomed in the waterhole since March 1.
It is Eppalock’s longest ever warning for blue-green algae.
The water authority will continue to monitor levels of algae in the lake. When levels are deemed unsafe by national health guidelines, a warning is issued to users of the affected waterway.
A blue-green algae warning remains current for Hepburns Lagoon.
