THE final leg in the battle for the Keith Macdonald Cup will be contested by all four Flack Advisory Bendigo Region athletics clubs on Saturday at Axe Creek.

Athletes will be chasing individual glory and points for their clubs in the Glen Allen Memorial 15km classic from Peppercorn Lark in Longlea Lane.
The 15km duel will start at 2pm and be run towards Axedale along the O’Keefe Trail and back again.
Shorter distances will also be run.
The 1500m and 750m start at 2.15pm, and 3km at 2.30pm.
Athletes must be registered with Athletics Victoria to be eligible for the winner’s sash.
Last year’s Glen Allen Memorial was won by Brady Threlfall from Bendigo Harriers.
Athletes in form heading into Saturday’s race and likely to rack up points in various categories include Jamie Cook, Ben Stolz, Peter Cowell, Mike Bieleny, Craig Green, Rossi Evans, Rik McCaig, and Daniel Plowright.
Leading contenders for the women’s title include Teleah Hayes, Alice Wilkinson, Jill Wilkie, Sarah Jalen, Melissa Douglas, and Anne Buckley.
Points for the Cup have been awarded across the long and short distances for female and categories at the invitation events run by Eaglehawk, Bendigo University, Bendigo Harriers, South Bendigo, and the Keith Huddle Memorial.
Points are awarded under a format of 25 for first, 24 for second down to one point for 25th place for both male and female finishes.
Bendigo University is the defending champion.
