The leading HDFNL A-grade netball teams warmed up for the finals with impressive performances on Saturday.

While flag favourite and minor premier Colbinabbin had the bye, second-placed White Hills and third-placed Huntly won well.

The Demons scored an 11-goal win over Mt Pleasant, while Huntly outclassed Heathcote 53-26.

The Demons and Hawks will clash in next Saturday’s qualifying final at Huntly.

Mt Pleasant will go into Sunday’s elimination final on the back of a defeat. The Blues will tackle Leitchville-Gunbower in the elimination final at Colbinabbin.

The Bombers couldn’t have been more impressive in defeating Lockington-Bamawm United 63-37 in the final round. After losing to White Hills the previous week, the round 18 clash with the sixth-placed Cats was expected to be a danger game for the Bombers.

In the final game of the round, North Bendigo concluded its season with a hard-fought 33-29 win over a gallant Elmore.
