STRATHFIELDSAYE’S gun small forward Lachlan Sharp booted his fourth goal of the day and his 100th for 2017 at the 18-minute mark of Saturday’s second term.

There was nothing Kangaroo Flat defenders could do to stop him as Sharp went on to nail another four for a round 16 tally of eight.
Just as importantly the Storm slaughtered the hapless Roos by 143 points, with 11 individual goalkickers as they restricted the home side to just four goals.
The visitors have unearthed a sparkling new talent in teenager Bailey Henderson, who contributed two majors in Strathfieldsaye’s 25.18 (168) to 4.1 (25) romp.
Sharp nailed his first goal for the match just two minutes into the first term when he marked a Jake Hall pass.
Seven minutes later he had another when he reeled in a full-length diving mark and banged home goal number 98.
Strathfieldsaye was in attack constantly. Midfield duo Kallen and Shannon Geary kept driving the Storm forward and by the first break they led by 27 points. Only big ruckman Nick Lang and Kyle Hudson were able to post any replies for the Roos.
The Storm went further ahead the longer the match went. Five goals in the second term were topped by nine in the third as they bombarded the Station Street end sticks.
Sharp notched the two majors he needed to reach the magic 100-goal figure with 18:20 on the clock in the second term.
After a lone supporter, who clearly couldn’t count, dashed onto the field when Sharp took a Ben Lester hand-off and booted his third four minutes into the second term, a huge swarm dashed on after he’d claimed a tumbling mark and nailed his fourth for the day and 100th for the season.
Meanwhile Hall, Wade Donnan and Henderson had all drilled majors as Storm took the lead out to 54 points by half-time.
The third quarter almost resembled a training drill for the Storm. They held the Roos scoreless, bombarded the Station Street end goalmouth and provided new players Henderson and Wade Donnan with a heap of possessions.
Co-captain Jayden Donaldson got into the goal-scoring spree with the first two goals of the final term, while Shannon Geary took his personal tally to three after marking a few metres out from the goal-line. Liam Ly finally snapped the Flat’s fourth goal of the day.
Storm coach Darryl Wilson said applying scoreboard pressure had been essential.
