Stephen Milne was the first Storm player to kick a century of goals in 2014, but he completed the task in the grand final.
Sharp moved to 96 goals for the season after he bagged 12 majors against Castlemaine in the Storm’s 27.14 (176) to 4.11 (35) hiding on Saturday.
After going through a “quiet” period where he kicked six goals in three weeks, Sharp has responded with bags of eight, 12 and 12 in his past three games.
“He probably could have kicked his 100th this game,’’ Storm coach Darryl Wilson said.
“He hit the post at least twice and gave off four or five others. He was very good.”
Sharp’s big performance was helped by the Storm’s dominant midfield and half-back line.
Tom Dowd, Kellan Smith, Shannon Geary, Kallen Geary and Sam Simmons all had plenty of the ball for the home side, while ruckman Harry Crone played arguably his best game of the season.
The Magpies were simply outclassed and overpowered by a better side.
Simon Seddon, Braidon Blake, Zac Hansford and Jackson Hood battled hard against the odds.
The Magpies are at home to Gisborne next week, while Sharp will get his chance to crack the ton when the Storm travels to Kangaroo Flat.
