The orchestra will present Beethoven’s 7th Symphony and Mozart’s 40th Symphony as part of the performance.
Lehmann has achieved an international reputation as a conductor, violinist and composer.
He is also the brother of well-known Bendigo musician, Jean Lehmann, with both performers playing with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and working with conductor Otto Klemperer while at the MSO.
BSO musical director Rohan Phillips said the musicians are delighted to be working with someone like Lehmann.
