Brent Daniels, Paddy Dow, Kane Farrell, Bailey Henderson, Lochie O’Brien, Angus Schumacher and Jarrod Brander are among 83 players from across the country who have been selected for the Combine.
The AFL Draft Combine will be held at Etihad Stadium from October 3 to 6, with players to be split into eight groups based on their positions for the four days of testing ahead of the National Draft on November 24.
• Meanwhile, the inaugural Northern Country Women’s League finals series kicks off this weekend, with the Bendigo Thunder, Benalla Saints, Shepparton and Echuca the four teams left in the premiership race.
The Thunder and Benalla will meet in the second semi-final at Weeroona Oval this Sunday from 2.30pm, with the winner to progress to the grand final.
In the do-or-die first semi-final, Shepparton will play Echuca.
The Thunder have been the standout team and are raging hot favourites to win the first premiership.
The Thunder finished in top spot with a 9-1 record and percentage of 1011.6.
The Thunder haven’t been beaten on the scoreboard, but were stripped of their premiership points in round three against Kyneton – a game they won by 85 points – when they played an unregistered player.

• And in other football news, Tony McNamara is leaving AFL Central Victoria to take up the position of the SANFL’s South East football operations co-ordinator.
McNamara has held the position of AFL Central Victoria football development manager. He will start in his new role with the SANFL on August 21.
