After scoring a game high 15 points in the Opals’ opening win in the Asia Cup in India on Sunday, the Bendigo Spirit star produced another impressive performance in Monday’s win over the Philippines.
Griffin scored nine points and pulled down five rebounds as the Opals cruised to a 107-65 win.
Griffin, who was in the starting five, only played 10 minutes of game time.
The power forward made four of her five field goal attempts and was 1/1 from behind the three-point arc.
Griffin was given plenty of rest in preparation for Tuesday’s crucial preliminary round clash with Japan.
The winner of that game will top the pool ahead of Thursday’s quarter-finals. The semi-finals will be played on Friday.
