Payne will saddle up topweight Sea King in the Brendan Drechsler Hurdle (3600m) and he has a two-pronged attack in the Mosstrooper Steeplechase with Angelology and Zed Em.
Payne is chasing a third-straight win in the Mosstrooper after Sea King won in 2015 and 2016.
This time around Sea King will contest the Brendan Drechsler Hurdle.
The 10-year-old’s best form is over the bigger fences, but he’ll still be one of the horses to watch.
The Darren Weir-trained Renew, winner of the Galleywood Hurdle and Australian Hurdle at his most recent jumps runs, will start favourite.
In the Mosstrooper, it’s hard to see Zed Em being beaten.
The six year-old has already won the Brierly and Thackeray double this winter.
