UPDATE 8.30am: A fire investigator will attend the scene of a house fire at Walmer to determine the cause of the blaze.
Six trucks and 20 firefighters from three brigades attended the fire, which took 30 minutes to bring under control.
The house is understood to have been deserted.
EARLIER: A house has been destroyed in a blaze at Walmer, near Maldon, on Thursday morning.
Emergency services were called about 5am to the property on Fogartys Gap Road, where they found the building well alight.
The house was believed to have been vacant.
