After easily defeating the Frankston Blues on Friday night, the Lady Braves were no match for a fired-up Geelong Supercats back at the Bendigo Stadium on Saturday.

The Lady Braves led by as much as 12 points in the second quarter and held a five point margin at the main break.

But it was all one-way traffic after half time, with the Supercats, led by one-time Bendigo Spirit player Sara Blicavs, piled on 26 points to seven in the third quarters to seize the momentum.

Geelong was able to increase its margin with a 24-14 final term to run out winners 89-65.

Blicavs was the star for the Supercats with a game-high 24 points, nine rebounds and four assists.

She was well supported by Chantel Horvat (21 points and nine rebounds) and Isabella Brancatisano (15 points, 10 rebounds and five assists).

Ebony Rolph, who has been a Bendigo Spirit squad member for the past two seasons, scored 16 points and had 10 rebounds.

The Lady Braves were again without class point guard Kelly Wilson, while young star Chloe Bibby is overseas with the Australian Gems team.

Chante Black was a clear best for the Lady Braves with 21 points and two rebounds, while most often being double-teamed.

Co-captain Tahnee Cannan capped a great weekend with 11 points, to go alongside her 14 against Frankston, while Bianca Dufelmeir scored 12.

The Braves were without Carlie Smith for much of the second half, with the former Canberra capitals Academy player battling a knee injury.

The Lady Braves continue their season next Saturday against arch-rival Ballarat Rush.
