The Magpies ended their eight-game losing streak – which included a 28.23 (191) to 0.0 (0) loss to Navarre in round 10 – by beating the Eagles by 54 points, winning 18.11 (119) to 9.11 (65).
Meanwhile, the competition’s top three sides all flexed their muscle with big round 12 wins – Navarre (154), Carisbrook (91) and Natte Bealiba (97).
Saturday also featured Royal Park coming from 10 points down at three quarter-time to defeat Talbot by five, 9.14 (68) to 9.9 (63).
