Blood curdling cries rung out across Golden Square on Wednesday as ninjas-in-training took part in a school holiday program.
The Connected Circus’s Vern Hardie said the Ninja Training Day was a chance to get students away from screens and connected with their bodies.
“It’s all about well-being through movement. We can be happier and healthier people through movement,” he said.
Ninjas honed skills like agility, accuracy and balance while coming to grips.
It was also a chance for ninjas to learn unexpected lessons, such as ways to collaborate with others.
For those wondering what tool today’s ninjas preferred to train with, the answer was the rope dart, pois, bo staff and dragon staff.
