Bendigonians are being warned to expect a frost when they wake tomorrow morning as a cold, dry start to winter carries on.
The Bureau of Metereology has issued a frost warning for the Central region of the state, as well as the Northern Country, North Central, North East, West, South Gippsland and East Gippsland districts of Victoria.
BOM senior meteorologist Dean Stewart said temparatures were expected to plummet to as low as -2 degrees overnight, with clear skies and light winds the perfect conditions for a visit from Jack Frost.
Winter would also remain dry for now, he said, with no rain predicted across the state until late Thursday.
Even then, wet weather is likely to bypass Bendigo, falling instead around Melbourne, as well as the state’s coastal and alpine regions.
