United defeated Strathdale 4-1 at Shepparton's Central Park, giving the competition newcomers their 10th win of the season.
Sarah Loverso set United on their way, opening the scoring in the eighth minute.
By the time she scored her second goal of the day in the 58th minute, United held a 4-1 lead.
Sophie Papalia and Taylor Zito also scored for Shepparton United, while Ellie Vlaeminck continued her fine season for the Blues to be her side's lone goal scorer.
Vlaeminck leads all goal scorers this season with 24, three ahead of Epsom sharpshooter Tara Thomas.
It was a costly loss for Strathdale, who slipped to fifth on the ladder.
The Blues were overtaken by Moama-Echuca Border Raiders, who defeated Spring Gully United 4-1 at Moama.
Skipper Paige Pinson was the star for the Border Raiders with a hat-trick of goals.
Their total was boosted by a single to Brittany Sands, while Siobhan Thompson was the lone goal scorer for Spring Gully.
The Border Raiders moved to fourth place on the ladder with 16 points, two points shy of Shepparton South in third.
They meet Strathdale this weekend at Beischer No. 1.
At Truscott Reserve, Eaglehawk defeated Golden City 2-0.
The Hawks face a tougher assignment next Sunday when they tale on ladder leaders Shepparton United.
Epsom and Shepparton South had byes.
