Weightman banged home 10 goals as the Tigers trounced the Magpies by 114 points at the Kyneton Showgrounds to remain within two points of the top five.
Riding a high from finally breaking a 47-game winless streak the previous week, the Magpies – who had six changes from their winning team – were no match for the Tigers, who won 24.15 (159) to 6.9 (45).
Weightman’s 10 goals took his season tally to 59 and he now trails Strathfieldsaye’s Lachlan Sharp by just three in the battle for the Ron Best Medal that has sprung to life.
As well as Weightman’s haul of 10 – his third for Kyneton since joining the Tigers in 2014 – fellow key target Mitch Scholard slotted five, while one of the best for the victors was former Magpie Billy Mahony.
Ethan Crackel and Coby Perry battled hard for the Magpies. Cameron Rinaldi kicked two goals.
