MPs must earn pay rises
The proposed pay rise for politicians, if they except it, just shows one thing; they are not there for the good of this nation, but to line their own pockets at the taxpayers’ expense.

Who was it that told us we had to fasten our belts and stop living beyond our means?
A bit rich coming from these unforgiving hypocrites who every chance they can can't help themselves at getting their noses in the trough.
What actually have they done for the nation to deserve a pay rise, let alone earn one? Other than create more unemployment by shutting down the car manufacturing Industry, which has a flow-on effect for car parts and accessories, failed to support all parts of the farming industry, lumbered us with this free trade agreement that is no value to the nation, selling our natural gas overseas so that our nation is paying big dollars for our own needs.
Tampered with Medicare, short changing education, selling off good farmland and dairy industries to foreign investors, attacking people on Centrelink benefits and collecting living away from home allowances, travel rorts and a lot more things that hurts the nation.
They were that smart that they sold all our commodities to private investors that they collect all the charges, whereas if they were still under government control then they would have a steady income.
Then they would have money to put in to hospitals, education etc.
But that would be to sensible. Why do we want to give anything to the taxpayer?
How much longer do the people have to put up with bad representation from greedy, selfish politicians that show no respect to their constituents?
Perhaps it's time for the people to stand up to these people and demand a better service than what we are getting, and stand united as one or divided we will fall.

Liberal Party on the brink
The Liberal party, particularly the federal body, but also the state as well, are in more trouble than Speed Gordon, as infighting threatens to blow them apart. Some would say, about time.
After decades of bleeding the ordinary people of this state and country dry, attacking unions and allegedly ignoring continuing misdemeanours made by big business – predominantly through the use of lobbyists – they have finally been caught out not giving a Gonski or a Finkel about anyone except billionaires, millionaires, or big business.
This organisation has finally been exposed as nothing more than a money train to the top end of town, giving them a tax cut, $65 billion in assistance, while cutting penalty rates for people, some of which do not have a permanent job, and rely on this simply to exist, attacking pensioners and anybody else who is an easy target.
They have a mightier than thou opinion of themselves, courtesy of their comments regarding a matter that was before the appeals court, and steadfastly refused to apologise until they were threatened with prosecution.
They should have been prosecuted to send a message to this born to rule mob, that the law applies to everybody, not just the unwashed. One of the most curious political happenings is the split nation party, more commonly known as One Nation, who are a complete joke, claiming that they represent the battlers, but vote with the Liberal party on most occasions, and is nothing but another waste of tax payers money.
D-Day for the federal Liberal Party is just around the corner, and frankly it cannot come quickly enough.

Ministers’ true priorities
True men of conviction, Ministers Hunt, Tudge and Sukkar; their snivelling apologies no less egregious than their original remarks. But then with their jobs, plus a 2 per cent pay rise in the line ...
