Participants will immerse themselves in the world of art and artefacts: learning how to establish and manage a collection, getting up close and personal with unique and priceless art and objects, and touring behind the scenes of Bendigo Art Gallery and the MCG’s National Sports Museum.
A range of creative industry professionals will share their expertise, including Karen Quinlan, Director of Bendigo Art Gallery and La Trobe Art Institute, Dr Kent Wilson, curator of current exhibition Revealing Identity: the Collections of La Trobe University, and Dr Gillian Shepherd, Director of La Trobe’s Trendall Centre for ancient Greek and Roman art and archaeology.
‘Exhibiting Culture: Inside Collections’, runs from July 17 to 21. Bookings close on July 10. For information, including costs, at: www.latrobe.edu.au/art-institute/exhibiting-culture
