One person has died and up to 12 others have been injured after a collision between a mini bus and a taxi in the state's north.

Police believe the taxi T-boned the bus about 3.30pm at the intersection of Pyke and Turnbull roads at Ardmona, near Shepparton.
The mini bus was carrying 12 adult passengers at the time of the crash.
The taxi had two passengers.
A female passenger from the bus died at the scene, a police spokeswoman said.
The male taxi driver stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their inquiries.
Two air ambulances have been dispatched to the scene.
A woman in her 70s has been taken to the Goulburn Valley hospital in a stable condition, an ambulance spokeswoman said.
