Rosaia and Greblo will record the podcast at the Gold Dust Lounge in Williamson Street.
Titled A Show About Jokes, the podcast will feature local joke-tellers performing four minutes of original material ahead of a short chat with Greblo and Rosaia.
“We thought it might be a nice way for people to invest in the characters we have (in the Bendigo comedy scene),” Rosaia said.
“People will be able to follow us without having to attend every gig and get to know the regulars who are performing.
“We have about 10 regulars who perform but are always encouraging people to come along and try it out.”
At the end of the show the audience will pick best joke of the night with a small cash prize going to the winner.
Each episode of A Show About Jokes will be available for free download from iTunes.
“Comedy is one of those things that is really accessible because everyone has been funny at one moment or another,” Rosaia said.
“Hopefully we can have a party-like atmosphere and make it a fun and positive thing for people to do.”
Rosaia and Greblo, along with fellow comic Cody Jones, performed their show Three’s A Crowd Not An Audience as part of this year’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
“When I did my first stand-up gig, I thought I’d have one go and never go back but we persisted and we just can’t believe this is the real thing,” Greblo said.
Greblo and Rosaia co-founded the Goldmines Comedy Cellar in 2015 with fellow Bendigo comedians Cody Jones and Zach Storer
“We thought it would be good to set up a gig in Bendigo where people like us who haven’t been doing (stand-up) that long could get up regularly and work on our skills and jokes,” Rosaia said.
