SANDHURST co-coach Tamara Gilchrist has praised the even performance from her team after the Dragons dished out a 37-goal hiding to reigning premier Kangaroo Flat in Bendigo netball on Saturday.

The Dragons were brilliant in thumping the Roos 62-25 at Dower Park to maintain their position at the top of the ladder.
“The girls were sensational. Every player played their role, was disciplined and played really clean netball that was great to watch,” Gilchrist said.
“There was no way we could single out just a couple of best players… there were seven out there who were all spectacular and we couldn’t have asked for any more of any of them.”
• In the closest game of the season so far, Strathfieldsaye scraped past South Bendigo by one at the QEO.
The Storm won their third game with a thrilling 41-40 victory.
“Our team was a bit unsettled today with a couple of injuries of late. We had one of our girls who has being playing defence (Chloe Adams) play in goals and she did really well,” South coach Benita Swatton said.
“When the team is moved around the way it was today it takes a bit to settle in, so I thought the girls did really well considering.”
• For the first time this season Eaglehawk has strung together back-to-back wins.
The Hawks backed up their win over Kyneton the previous week with a 92-15 thumping of Castlemaine.
The Hawks scored 16 goals in the first quarter, 28 in the second, 21 in the third and finished with 27 in the last.
• Gisborne, after breaking away in the second quarter, notched its third win in a row and lifted its record to 6-2 with a 65-47 triumph over Maryborough.
The victory keeps the Bulldogs in third position on the ladder, while the Magpies, after an encouraging start to the season when they won three of their first four games, have now lost four in a row.
• Kyneton scored its highest tally of the season, yet was on the end of a 36-goal hiding from Golden Square.
Golden Square extended its advantage at every break to win 76-40 at Kyneton.
