Bendigo artist Chloe Neath will have her work exhibited alongside a theatrical performance tonight.
The Baby Farmer is a dark, intense and sad drama put together by The Laudanum Project.
As well as the show, audiences will peruse Neath’s artworks which were used in a graphic novel based on the show.
“It’s a disturbing story that’s quite hypnotising but there is a lot of melancholy and beauty in it,” Neath said.
“We worked hard to make sure the pictures accurately told every detail of the story.”
Neath said the play often elicited a quiet reaction from audiences but that it had got largely positive reviews.
“I think people get captivated and stimulated by the whole evening,” she said.
“We sold out in Ballarat but are finally in Bendigo, which is my hometown and I’m thrilled to be here. I think Bendigo will thoroughly enjoy the show.”
The Baby Farmer is on at The Engine Room in View Street from June 8 to 10 with the exhibition open from 8pm and the show starting at 9pm. The exhibition is also open from midday to 5pm from June 9 to 12.
