Revealing Identity: the Collections of La Trobe University will take a sweeping look through the vast university collections, to tell a fascinating story about Australian art and the importance of cultural materials in learning environments.
The exhibition features works by some of Australia’s most iconic artists, including Charles Blackman and Leonard French, and ancient artefacts from the A.D. Trendall collection.
Those interested in exploring the collection in more depth can join a week-long course run by La Trobe Art Institute in partnership with Bendigo Art Gallery in July. Registration opens on Monday: http://www.latrobe.edu.au/art-institute/exhibiting-culture.
