Thomson Dow (Swan Hill), Riley Ironside (Kyabram), Brodie Kemp (Echuca), James Schischka (Strathfieldsaye) and Aaron Gundry (Marist Dockers) have all made the cut for Victoria Country.
A sixth Pioneer player – Ethan Roberts – is an emergency.
Victoria Country will continue its preparations for the Under-16 National Championships with a game against the Laguntas All-Nations squad at Punt Road on June 10.
The National Championships will get under way for Victoria Country when they take on city rivals Victoria Metro on Saturday, June 24, at Essendon’s Windy Hill.
Meanwhile, the Pioneers’ under-18s host Dandenong at the QEO this Sunday.
