TUESDAY: A BOLD thief has stolen a vehicle from under the nose of its owner.
About 6pm, a woman unlocked her vehicle on Market Street, Eaglehawk and put her keys in the ignition before stopping to chat to someone.
A passing car stopped nearby and a male passenger got out, then jumped into the woman’s vehicle and drove away.
Descriptions of the offenders and the stolen vehicle are not available at this time, but the vehicle is yet to be recovered.
Sergeant Mark Bell from Bendigo police said the woman was not injured and there were no threats of violence, describing it as a “crime of opportunity”.
