Tea lovers and coffee drinkers will be raising a mug for cancer research tomorrow, May 25, as Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea gets under way.
The public is invited to a number of events across the central Victorian region, including:
Plaistow Homestead: 10am-12.30pm. Morning tea and live music at the 1840s homestead. Entry by donation. Where: 324 Rodborough Road, Joyces Creek. (Follow the flags from the intersection of the Pyrenees Highway and Rodborough Road.)
William Farmer Funerals: 10am-12.30pm. Morning tea and live entertainment. $5 entry fee. Where: Victoria Street chapel, 12 Victoria Street, Eaglehawk.
Edwards Providore and Percy and Percy: $1 from the sale of each hot drink sold between 9.30am and 11.30am will be donated to the Cancer Council.
The annual event raises money for the Cancer Council, helping to fund research, prevention programs and support services for those affected by cancer. Thursday, May 25 is the official date, but events can be hosted any time during May or June.
