The Roos had the game sewn up by half-time after they restricted the Magpies to one first-half goal.
The Magpies improved in the second half, but the damage had been done and the Roos cruised to a 22.17 (149) to 9.8 (62) victory.
The highlight for the Roos was the performance of Darwin import Lochlan Dhurrkay.
Playing his first game for the Roos, the lightning quick midfielder/forward lit up Dower Park with three goals in a best on ground performance.
“Lochlan is down here for the rest of the season,’’ Roos’ co-coach Shawn Filo said of the 21-year-old former NT Thunder player.
“He’s very versatile in where he can play and he’s dynamic in the way he plays. He has a lot of speed and his execution is second to none.
“He was very good against Castlemaine, but we expect him to keep improving with each game that he plays with us.”
Dhurrkay and Kangaroo Flat co-coach Corey Greer tormented the Magpies’ small defenders, kicking seven goals between them.
Full-forward Charlie Bowyer and Jack Bower kicked five goals each as the Roos raced to their second straight victory.
The Magpies have now lost their past four matches by 199, 155, 85 and 87 points.
Rhys Jenkins, Simon Seddon, Adam Robinson and veteran Luke Walters were named their best players in the heavy defeat.
