ATHLETICS Bendigo will run an Aussie Masters Warm-Up track and field meet on Sunday, May 28 at the Flack Advisory Bendigo Region track in Flora Hill.

Competition is not restricted to Masters Athletes as they prepare to contest next month’s Australian Masters in Darwin.
The AB meet is open to all athletes aged 11 and older, all ages and abilities.
Bendigo is home to some of the country’s leading Masters athletes.
Athletes who have excelled at Masters events in recent years include Eaglehawk’s Barb Bryant, David Chisholm, Kathy Heagney and Toni Phillips; Bendigo Harriers’ Geoff Shaw, Anne Buckley, Peter Cowell, and Phil Noden; South Bendigo’s Leigh Browell, Jennifer Payne and Chris Timewell and University’s Craig Green.
Athletics Bendigo will reward its loyal members from the 2016-17 track season by providing free entry for this Warm Up event.
Fee for on-line entry is $15.
There must be at least three entries for an event to be run.
Check-in at least 30 minutes before your track event.
Timetable for the Winter Warm-Up meet on May 28 at LUBAC in Retreat Road:
9.30am: 3km or 5km walk, pole vault.
10am: long jump, hammer throw.
10.15am: 1500m.
10.45am: 100m.
11am: 2km steeplechase, high jump, discus.
11.15am: 400m.
11.45am: 200m.
12pm: javelin.
12.30pm: 800m.
1pm: 3000m or 5000m, triple jump, shot put.
1.30pm: sprint and lap hurdles.
On-line entries via the Athletics Bendigo website close on May 26 at 9pm.
On the day entry is $20, but only accepted if no alteration to the program.
