Random Hacks of Kindness is a two-day ‘hackathon’ to take place at La Trobe University next month, working with Bendigo Foodshare, Bike Bendigo, the City of Greater Bendigo and the Community Foundation Central Victoria to develop open-source technological fixes for challenges.
An ideation night will be held at the Discovery Centre on Thursday at 6pm.
“The ideation night is an opportunity for charities and community groups to meet the tech experts who they may be working with before the big event in a month’s time,” volunteer event organiser Amanda Finnis, from sponsor Coliban Water, said.
Random Hacks of Kindness is still looking for participants, including computer programmers, user interface and user experience specialists, marketing professionals and graphic designers.
The hackathon will take place on June 17 and 18.
