UPDATE, 10.45am: The crash was caused after a silver sedan failed to give way when it turned right from High Street on to Myrtle Street.
The 70-year-old male driver hit an oncoming Toyota HiLux that was travelling south on High Street.
No injuries were reported from the accident.
CFA crews have put sand over an oil spill but drivers are urged to take care driving through the intersection.
A penalty noticed was issued to the 70-year-old driver.
EARLIER: EMERGENCY services are at the scene after a two-car crash in Bendigo.
Two cars collided at the corner of Don and High streets.
The intersection was blocked for a short time while crews cleared the vehicles.
Police are still directing traffic through the intersection as Country Fire Authority crews mop up the scene.
