The Hawks went close to upstaging Kangaroo Flat a fortnight ago, but the Roos’ big-game experience was the difference down the stretch and the Borough went down by three goals.
This week Eaglehawk is at home to a Golden Square side that is on the rebound from its first loss of the season to Sandhurst.
The match will have an extra edge to it with Eaglehawk’s Ryan sisters – Ashley and Abbey – playing against their former club Golden Square for the first time.
