Ryan McNish and Jon Starr will both be unable to coach in the Blues’ next two games against Bears Lagoon-Serpentine on Saturday and Pyramid Hill on May 20.
McNish was booked by two umpires for using insulting and obscene language.
Starr was reported by four umpires for using insulting language.
Both were reported at the end of the fourth quarter of the game at Marong in which the winless Blues were beaten by nine points after leading by 14 at the final change.
“The club is disappointed, as are Jon and Ryan,” Inglewood president Andrew Nevins said on Friday.
“They are remorseful for what has happened and it’s now up to us to move on and concentrate on this week and respect the umpires for the job they do.
“There’s no excuse for what happened… emotions were high and things didn’t pan out the way we had hoped, but credit to Marong in that they were able to fight back and snatch their first win.”
With Starr and McNish – who is also suspended from playing for two games – both banned, reserves coach Tim Hawken will pull double duty for Inglewood’s next two games.
Hawken will coach both the Blues’ senior and reserves teams against the Bears and Bulldogs.
The pair of suspensions handed down to Starr and McNish come ahead of this weekend’s community umpiring round.
