There was better news for Bendigo in the junior grades, with the under-15s scoring a well deserved 3-2 away win over Ballarat City FC.
Harrison Adams put Bendigo City in front 1-0 with a goal in the 36th minute, while Leo Hams made it 2-nil four minutes later.
Bendigo conceded the next two goals before Nick Collins put City back in front for good with a goal in the 67th minute.
The win was the team's first this season and moves it to 12th on the ladder in the 15-team competition.
Eli Saunders' third goal of the season helped Bendigo City's under-14 team to a 1-all draw against Ballarat City.
In other weekend games, Bendigo City’s under-18 team lost 4-0 to Ballarat City, while the under-16 team lost 4-2.
Thomas Kay, who has five goals for the season, and Caden Meeks (four goals) were the under-16 goal scorers.
The juniors host Melbourne Knights this Saturday.
