Castlemaine police officers last night recorded a 46-year-old local man driving with a blood alcohol reading of 0.196 - almost four times the legal limit.
His vehicle was impounded immediately.
On Friday night, a 62-year-old Castlemaine man blew a BAC reading of 0.129, while a 19-year-old motorist refused to accompany police for further tests.
Refusing to accompany police is punishable by at least two years’ licence loss and possible prison time.
All three drivers will now front court.
For the past two months, Castlemaine police have conducted Operation Hilton, a Traffic Accident Commission-funded operation targetting drink drivers in their region.
Acting Sergeant Dave Becker described the number of recorded drink drivers in Castlemaine during the effort as "high", and said the operation was continuing.
"They risk killing themselves, injuring themselves, killing someone innocent who's doing the right thing," he said.
"We've all had a gutful."
