The 18-year-old was this week named in an 18-player Gems squad to contest this year's Under-19 FIBA World Championships, ahead of a four-day training camp next month.

A second camp is scheduled for June after which a final team of 12 will be selected.

Bibby, who hails from Warracknabeal, is enjoying a standout SEABL sesason with the Lady Braves.

The teenager is averaging team-highs in points (18.3) and rebounds (8.5) for a Bendigo team that sits second on the south conference ladder at 3-1.

Bibby has represented Australia twice previously, most recently as a member of the Gems team which captured the FIBA U18 Oceania Championship last year with a perfect 5-0 record.

She averaged a team third-best 14.2ppg, with the tournament win qualifying the Gems for the world championships in Italy this July.

Bibby also represented Australia at the FIBA Under-17 Championships in the Czech Republic in 2014.

She averaged 7.1 points and 4.6 rebounds in a Sapphires team which finished fifth.

The scoring forward will head to the United States later this year, where she will play college ball for Mississippi State University.

Bibby joined the Lady Braves from SEABL rivals Dandenong and has spent four seasons on the Rangers' WNBL roster.

The Gems will be aiming for another podium finish after claiming bronze at the past two championships in 2015 and 2013.
