WHITE HILLS resident Leonie Francis and her friends have crafted remembrance poppies to adorn the gates of the Arch of Triumph at the Bendigo Botanic Gardens, ahead of Anzac Day.
The poppies are intended to represent each of the White Hills men who served in the First World War, whose named are listed on either side of the central arch.
The formerly bare gates of the arch formed the inspiration for the craft project, Ms Francis said.
The Friends of Bendigo Botanic Gardens committee member and her friends thought the display might bring more of a sense of community to the park, and inspire people to reflect on Anzac Day and its significance.
