A man has died and four others, including a child, have been injured after two cars crashed on the Princes Freeway in Tynong, near Pakenham on Saturday.

Victoria Police spokesman Alistair Parsons said the incident happened at the intersection of the Princes Freeway and Tynong Road about 4.50pm.
"The male driver of an SUV, which was south bound on Tynong Road, died at the scene," Senior Constable Parsons said.
Ambulance Victoria spokesman John Mullen said a woman was flown to The Alfred hospital in a serious but stable condition, where she remains in a stable condition.
"We were called at 4.45pm to a two-car accident," Mr Mullen said.
"We took three others, a male, a female and a child, to the Dandenong hospital in a stable condition."
Police will investigate the cause of the collision.
The fatality brings the total number of lives lost on Victoria's roads so far this year to 74, compared to 84 at the same time last year.
