Rural Bank has come on board with the Pioneers, who will this year be known as the Rural Bank Bendigo Pioneers.
“The Pioneers have been very specific in wanting to partner with a business that is reflective of the region and that is strong in the agricultural area in the north west of Victoria and southern New South Wales,” Pioneers talent manager Steve Sharp said at the weekend.
“Both the Pioneers and Rural Bank are aligned in their values and objectives, so it’s the perfect partnership to further develop the Pioneers’ program and Rural Bank’s support of local communities in the region.”
Rural Bank has been a subsidiary of the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank since 2010 and is the only Australian-owned and operated dedicated agribusiness bank in the country.
Rural Bank’s head of marketing and communications Brock Pinner said he was excited with the direction of the Pioneers’ program and was pleased to support the development of both boys and girls grassroots football.
“There are many talented young footballers in our regional and rural communities and we are delighted to support the Pioneers development program, which gives these players the opportunity to pursue their sporting aspirations,” Pinner said.
