Among his haul has been a pair of gold medals in both sprint and marathon at the national titles held in Sydney.
Jones – a Year 10 student at Bendigo South East College – won gold at the nationals in the men’s Under-16 K2 2500m and the K1 1500m.
He also earned a silver medal in the men’s Under-16 K2 1500m and bronze in the K1 2500m.
To go with his four medals, Jones was also presented the Coultard Award for the most successful junior male paddler at the event.
As well as Jones’ success at the national titles, he also performed well at the Victorian Marathon Championships held in Geelong where he won gold medals in both the men’s under-16 singles and doubles.

Jones took up kayaking about four years ago after breaking his foot while skiing.
He began paddling to keep up his fitness and has stuck with it since.
